Bulk import, validation and reconciliation

Running a bulk import

Preview, mapping, duplicate handling and the four data-quality states.

45 min

Preview before you commit

The wizard reads the workbook, lists its sheets and headers, and validates every row without writing anything. The preview shows what would be created, updated, skipped or rejected.

Decisions to make at the preview

  • Which sheet holds the register
  • How to treat duplicates — update the existing record, or skip it
  • Which mapping profile to reuse, if the source has been imported before

The states you will see

  • VALID — will import
  • WARNING — will import, with something to check
  • REQUIRES REVIEW — will import, but geometry or a critical value needs attention
  • INVALID — will not import; the row is rejected with the reason

Then commit

Rows are written in batches, and the batch is recorded with its file, mapping, counts and per-row results. Nothing is written silently.
