Audit trails and administration duties

What is recorded

• Asset change history — every create, update and delete, with the user, the time and the field-level changes
• Geometry audit — every spatial change, with the geometry before and after
• Import batches — every bulk upload, with its file, mapping, row counts and per-row results

An audit trail is only useful if it is complete. Never correct data by editing the database around the platform; make the change in the application, where it will be recorded.

Routine administration

• Review who holds the admin role
• Review the import batches that landed, especially any with warnings or review rows
• Check for duplicate asset IDs and assets missing geometry
• Confirm that deleted assets were genuinely decommissioned rather than lost
• Keep the project's spatial reference and classification data current
